Why do you feel you would make a valuable addition to the MCN board?

I would be honored to serve on the MCN Board because I believe deeply in the power of Minnesota's nonprofit sector to strengthen communities and create opportunity. My career began in AmeriCorps, and over the past decade I have grown as a nonprofit leader through hands-on experience in direct service, operations, workforce development, and executive leadership. As CEO of CAPI, I have the privilege of working alongside immigrant and refugee communities while leading an organization rooted in Brooklyn Center, a city that is often overlooked despite its incredible strengths and diversity. As a Korean American adoptee and immigrant, I bring both lived experience and professional experience to the table. I am a pragmatic leader who enjoys solving problems, asking thoughtful questions, and building partnerships. I would be excited to learn from fellow board members while contributing a perspective grounded in community, equity, and the realities facing nonprofits and the people we serve across Minnesota.
